On July 19th 2008, the Loveparade was celebrated in Dortmund on the federal highway 1 (B1) directly adjacent to the Westfalenhallen under the motto "Highway to Love". For the first time in history, the "Metropolis Highway," one the most heavily traveled roads in Germany, was blocked off for the event. The result: 1.6 mio. visitors from all over the world turned the event into the biggest Loveparade of all ages.

Many thanks to all of the visitors and hundreds of helpers who made the Loveparade 2008 such a superb event!
